Are the PLR runs free? The fee exists because unlike other running groups, PLR offers more than just running (and brunch). PLR creates a platform, a community experience, where womxn can learn (through monthly themes) the tools and skills they need to navigate their run experience fully conscious of how systems of oppression intersect with running culture and thus impacts their running.

Is it only for womxn? PLR is for all self-identifying womxn. Our usage of "womxn" allows for multiple definitions of women. It also reflects the historical origins of the term, when ‘womxn’ emerged as a term to explicitly signpost the inclusion of Trans and WOC.

How long are the runs? We always offer two "run" options, a 2.5km walk/jog and a 5 Km walk/jog/run option. Our "runs" are in quotations to be reflective of all the ways womxn show up at all levels and abilities.

Do you have to be a runner? If you’ve ever been curious about movement, radical self-love, liberation and community, than this collective is for you.. If you've ever thought that running could embody values outside of external appearances - than PLR is for you! So no Sis, you don’t have to be a runner - non-runners are welcome to join.

Can we walk/jog at a run? Yes Sis! You set the terms, and we help guide you. You can walk, jog and slow run, no matter your pace, there is room for you.

What are the monthly themes? Monthly themes help you piece together your running experience. Our themes connect the dots and help you understand why your running may feel "off". You see, to better understand your running experience, we consider the context out of which our lived experiences emerge. That means highlighting the many parallels between Running culture and the material and social world, all of which are involved in the mutual creation of themselves and one another.

Can I just run with the group and skip the brunch? PLR is an experience that plays a significant role in helping you find your way back to your Self - mentally, physically, and spiritually. We invite you to join us for the whole event.

Can I join the group if I can't run, walk, or jog? We acknowledge the ableism inherent in our choices of movement. Folks who wish to show up and participate in whatever capacity they can, are welcome to join us- community spaces that offer a counter to what exists in mainstream are few. This space is for you.

Do I have to be a member to sign up for runs? You don’t have to be a member to join our collective.

How many cities is PLR in? We started off in 5 Canadian cities, but PLR can now be found in 2 cities: Vancouver (BC), and Edmonton (AB).
